Shopping lists
Start with everyday products
Mark common products to buy or already at home, and your list and pantry fill in a few taps.
What it is
Everyday products is a list of common products by category: milk, eggs, bread, coffee, toilet paper and more, depending on the country you live in. Instead of typing your first list, you mark what to buy and what you already have, and Mealuna fills in the shopping list and the pantry for you.
It is free for everyone.
Where to find it
An empty food list offers it right away, and so does an empty pantry while the group has nothing in another list's pantry: a new group sees a card, Start with everyday products, and later it is a plain Everyday products button. A full list or pantry has the same button at the end, and the list's ⋯ menu has Everyday products at any time.
On a brand-new account, the card on the empty list also asks whether someone at home already uses Mealuna, so you can join their group instead of starting your own.
Buy and At home
Each product has two marks. Buy, the cart, puts it on the shopping list in its usual amount. At home, the cabinet, puts it in the pantry in that same amount, with a best-before date counted from today where the product has one. Each row also says what is already there — on the list, in the cart, at home or out — so nothing is entered twice.
Every tap is saved at once. Tap a mark again to take it back: the sheet only undoes what it added itself, never a product you had already put on the list or in the pantry. A product marked out can be declared back at home with At home.
Missing something? Search for other products at the bottom finds any product, and it appears at the top with the same two marks.
Your products
Once your group has products of its own, the sheet has two tabs: Your products and Common products. Opened from the shopping list, Your products shows what you keep always at home and anything in the pantry that is out or running low, ready for Buy. Opened from the pantry, it shows what is not at home.
A product that is out and that you no longer want can be removed from Your products with a swipe to the left. Its purchases stay, so buying it again brings it back.
Always at home (Premium)
A green house marks a product you keep always at home: when it runs low, Mealuna puts it back on the shopping list. On the sheet, swipe a row right to keep a product always at home, or left to take it off; touching and holding the row does the same. See Always at home: staples back on the list.
After Done, while Always at home is not set up on that list yet (its switch is off and nothing is kept always at home), Mealuna asks which of the products you marked should be. With Premium you pick them there or choose I'll keep track myself; on Free the step shows what Premium would do.
