Connect Mealuna to your AI

Ask Claude, ChatGPT or any assistant that speaks MCP about your pantry, shopping lists, meal plan and recipes — and once you allow it, let it keep them up to date — without leaving the conversation.

Using Claude?

Mealuna is in Claude's connector directory. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors, choose + and search for Mealuna — or open the listing and connect from there. You then sign in on the same Mealuna page as below.

Using ChatGPT?

In ChatGPT on the web, add Mealuna as a custom MCP server — it takes a minute, and every value is here to copy.

  1. Open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
  2. In the sidebar, open Plugins, choose +, then Create custom MCP server → Create MCP app.
  3. Fill in the form:
    Choose icon
    Download icon
    Name
    Mealuna
    Description
    Your Mealuna pantry, shopping lists, meal plan and recipes
    Server URL
    https://mcp.mealuna.eu
    Authentication
    Keep OAuth, and leave Advanced OAuth settings as they are.
  4. Tick I understand and want to continue and choose Create. Mealuna opens in your browser — continue with Apple or Google to allow the connection.
  5. That's it: just ask ChatGPT about your pantry, lists, menu or recipes. To let it make changes too, tick Allow changes on the Mealuna page when you connect, or turn it on later in the Mealuna app under Settings → AI assistants.

In any other assistant, add this address as a custom connector

  1. Open your AI client's connector settings and choose to add a custom connector.
  2. Paste the address above.
  3. Your browser opens Mealuna and shows what the assistant may read and where the connection goes. Continue with Apple or Google to allow it — there are no keys to copy and nothing to paste back.
  4. A new connection only reads unless you tick Allow changes on the Mealuna page when you connect. You can also turn it on or off later in the Mealuna app under Settings → AI assistants.

Staying in control

In the Mealuna app, Settings → AI assistants shows each assistant you connected, where the connection goes and when it was last used — turn Allow changes on or off there, or Disconnect. Removing the connector in your assistant alone does not end the connection: an unused one ends by itself after 30 days, and deleting your Mealuna account removes every connection.
